Los Angeles graffiti legend SLICK moved to L.A. from his native Hawaii in the 80’s to attend art school at Parsons and evade prosecution for graffiti. Art school quickly took a back seat to writing graffiti, and SLICK rose to prominence after a much-publicized battle with another LA graff heavyweight HEX. He soon received attention from galleries, collectors and museums and began his successful career as a designer partnering his t- shirt graphics with CONART to start his own line.
